TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is seeking recommendations for companies that assist with obtaining a 60-day tourist visa run from Thailand using an American passport. Several commenters suggest going to a neighboring country to a Thai embassy or consulate directly, which is often easier and cheaper than using a service. Locations such as Vientiane, Laos are mentioned as good options. Others noted existing companies in various Thai cities like Bangkok, Pattaya, and Chiang Mai that offer visa run services, with specific mention of Meesuk Travel as a reputable option.

Meesuk Travel wasn't terrible. They know what they are doing, they make sure your paperwork is in order, and can take care of more than just the tourist visa if you're ready to change it over and dont have enough time left to stay here to do it. One of their drivers was kind of mean, the office people were really nice though. The vans are comfy too.

from Bangkok two companies, Pattaya plenty more, Phuket have too and Samui as well , even Chiang Mai offer service. No Ghost run possible. Google is your friend.

How about stating where it is you are in thailand? That could narrow down peoples recommendations.

Go to Vientiane, Laos to the Thai Embassy / Consulate there. Fly direct from Bkk. Or fly to Udon Thani and then take a bus. No company needed.

I think there are some companies that help provide the transport to consulates. If you go by yourself it's usually much cheaper though and sometimes quicker (ie if you fly instead of taking a bus).

Depends where in Thailand you are now. Go to the nearest Thai embassy/consulate (in neighboring country). Vientiane, Phnom Penh, Penang, etc.

And in what country are you at the moment? If in Thailand go to a neighbor country and visit a Thai Consulate or Embassy there. It is an easy process, don't need companies for that.
yeah i havent had a tourist visa before, ive always went with the 30 day exemption. Im a bit concerned over them checking my finances. I have enough to go to thailand, but i just transferred it in a week ago or so

You don't need companies but it is much more convenient, less stressful and probably worth the money for a tourist who doesn't know the process.

I don't trust legends, i try to give advice on the legal way.

Tourist visa is sold by a Thai Consulate or Embassy, so your passport has to leave Thailand, stamp out and stamp in other country to visit a Consulate or Embassy. Companies can not do that for you, you have to do that in person.
