Hello- Was not able to get a clear answer on my prior post--- 1. So can someone please confirm that the 2 per-year limit on SETV 30-day extensions is based on the calendar year, rather than the date of one's initial entry into Thailand?
2. Also, do the limits on extensions apply to land border crossings only? I once read that there are no theoretical limits on 30-day extensions if you fly out and in to Thailand with a 60-day SETV. True?
Thanks, DB~
TLDR : Answer Summary
The 30-day extensions for a Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV) in Thailand follow a particular set of rules. You are allowed one 30-day extension for each SETV, and there is no official cap on the number of SETVs you can obtain in a calendar year. However, there is a limit of two visa-exempt entries by land per calendar year. In essence, while the SETV allows for extensions, the limitations primarily apply to land border crossings for visa-exempt entries.
