Advice please !!! I stayed dec 2024/jan 2025 , may /jun 2025 , 2 weeks in oct 2025 When I arrived dec 11 for 6 weeks I was took away and questioned ( wasnt asked to see my money just my paperwork etc. Told to get a proper visa like a dtv but being over 50 later this year will be getting a retirement visa . If I return in may for say 3 weeks on visa exemption will I possibly get questioned again ? Will my passport have been possibly flagged . I haven't extended for a couple of years but obviously 2 month trips isn't your usual tourist . Just wondered what others think 🤔 thanks for any advice

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice about potential questioning at Thai immigration after being previously scrutinized during entry. They've been told to apply for a proper visa, like a retirement visa, but are considering entering on a visa exemption. Several commenters emphasize the importance of having a tourist visa to avoid issues and suggest applying for it ahead of time. There's a consensus that returning on a visa exemption might lead to questioning due to previous entries, and obtaining proper visa documentation is recommended for smoother entry.

The new entry and regulated amount of entries was implemented in November 25, so why they looked at previous entries… you only made one entry in December and after the tightened rules of entries in one year. Odd…
As other said and your self plan on getting retirement visa so apply for the first non-o (3 months and then you can do the retirement non-o for one year.
You can ask Thai embassy
In your home country how you should do to prevent a problem at immigration if you plan visit without the visa and go on exemption rule one more time.
But since you have visited several times during 25 then I understand why they say your should consider a proper visa.
I had same a few years ago. Just started getting a tourist visa every 3third visit. Las comment I had was last summer when leaving- why did you get a tourist visa 🤯
Personally, I would have considered a safe entry service rather than a regular tourist visa in a situation like this. You have already been assessed as being at the upper end of what is typically accepted for ordinary tourist entries, and a tourist visa only provides slightly greater predictability than visa exempt entry.
Sean Roe 💵💵 You get an agent to evaluate your previous entry history and do a pre-scan. If accepted you’ll be escorted through the immigration by an immigration officer trough a temporary closed gate and stamped in regardless of previous history.
It really all depends on immigration officer you're standing in front of. I would definitely have a tourist visa and the three proofs, accommodation booking, 20,000 baht or equivalent in cash, and a flight out within that 3 weeks.
