So is it 500k baht cumulatively over the past 6 months of bank statements? Or is it 500k baht shown as a closing balance each month of those 6 months??
Applying in Ho Chi Mihn soon!
Thanks!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The financial requirement for a Thai visa application is to show a bank account with a closing balance of at least 500,000 Baht at the end of a month, within the last six months. Applicants need to submit a document detailing transactions over the past six months along with a statement reflecting the required balance. Different experiences among applicants suggest some variability in individual circumstances.

They just ask for statements. Embassies that did in person applications would sometimes ask you to log in to your account. If asked for an interview it is possible you could be asked to show your account online.
Yeah I applied offline in Taipei and had an interview although it was not too bad. They frequently interview online applicants there though.

That’s not true. My bank account went from 3 million ฿ in the past six months to ฿250,000 and then back up to 500,000 so it does not have to be every month as long as the ending statement has 500,000 or more.
Not closing balance every month, but every day...if you apply in KL or Laos, you can't allow the balance to go below 500,000 for 3 months in the case of Laos or 6 months in the case of Malaysia.
for my situation, the first 3 months will not be a closing balance of 500k, as I was approaching it. But the final 3 will. Any idea if that would qualify?
