Hey guys, quick one.... Ho Chi Minh embassy doc requirements for Non 'O' in the pic..... Does 'certified copy of Thai spouse's ID card' means self certified by the missus by just signing it or certified by some legal entity? Appreciate any thoughts... TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat inquires about the document requirements for a Non 'O' visa at the Ho Chi Minh embassy, specifically about the 'certified copy of Thai spouse's ID card'. Respondents clarify that this simply involves the spouse signing copies of the front and back of her ID. Additionally, a 'guarantee letter' is mentioned, which is a handwritten letter from the spouse confirming the marriage and requesting the visa issuance.
the thai consulates in Ho Chi Minh and Seoul BOTH require that "guarantee letter" from your spouse. it's just a hand written letter stating you're married, etc asking that they issue you a visa.
As has been explained the certified copies are just copies of the front and back of her thai id signed by her
My understanding is that 'Guarantee' probably isn't the correct term, but basically it's the spouse stating in a letter that she is in fact married to the applicant, state hers/his passport numbers etc..... Make reference to supporting docs and sign.....
