Does anybody have experience of getting the non-o multiple entry spousal visa from Ho Chi Minh city? I heard they ask for financial documents now? Can anyone clarify this and tell me what they need?

TLDR : Answer Summary
This post seeks information regarding the requirements for obtaining a non-O multiple entry spousal visa from the consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, specifically if financial documents are now necessary. A comment notes that the Savannakhet consulate in Laos does not require financial proof for this visa.

The only regional Thai consulate I know of that doesn't require any financial proof for the 1 year multiple entry non-O based on marriage to Thai is the consulate at Savannakhet Laos.
I realise that but before 2019 I always used to get the visa from Ho Chi Minh without any financials. I heard that they just require bank statements showing a monthly income of 40k + and was wondering if anyone could clarify this.
did you use Thai bank account statements or overseas bank statements ? Thinking of going next week but my Thai bank account for the last 6 months was under 400k. On the other side my EU bank account is over 400k for sure.
Just there last month and they examined my 6 months bank statements very carefully.

Yes I was aware of all the other documents, needed, I wasn't aware about them needing to be certified, I guess the wife will have to sign everything and write a letter. If the only financials they require are bank statements then I guess I can go. I just hate Laos and rather would do it in Vietnam.
I also had letter from wife in English, copies of her house book, and copies of her name change. They seem to be very efficient because they asked me about a previous name change that I was not aware of. The interviewer talked to my wife on FaceTime, asked her for some additional documents be emailed, told me where to print them and back in 30 minutes to complete the paperwork. Very efficient but strict. Also note they want your documents certified.
