Hi, just a quick question. Im going to Vientiane, Laos to do my Non O family visa (Half Thai child). Please can someone let me know the current requirements for the 3 month NON O family visa in the Thai embassy Vientiane. It used to be relatively simple: birth certificate, ID of girlfriend, tabien ban, pictures etc.. but i havent been for 2 years so not sure if its changed much.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for obtaining a 3-month Non-O family visa at the Thai embassy in Vientiane has reportedly become uncertain since the borders reopened, with no recent confirmations of successful applications based on being the father of a half Thai child. It is essential to note that the application is not walk-in; an online appointment is required to enter the consulate, and visa processing typically takes about three working days. It's recommended to check the official consulate website for the most updated list of requirements.

ahh great mate hopefully it works out nice and easy for you there is always HCMC back up plan if not.....little one is great growing fast hope your family is doing well also....all the best.
There are ZERO reports of people getting the 90 day single entry Non-O visa based on being the father of a half thai child from the thai consulate in Vientiane since the borders re-opened. <- NOTE, that doesn't mean you can't do it, just that no one has done it and reported back
Keep in mind Vientiane is NOT a walk up/apply consulate, you need to book an online appointment to get in the gate OR you don't get in. They also have 3 WORKING day processing time <- example; apply Mon morning, pick up your passport Wed afternoon.
