Hi all. I have not been to Thailand for 2 years because of covid. Is it all normal now without the need to wear a mask? etc

Or maybe just on the plane? I plan to fly in January from London and will stay in Pattaya and maybe go to Bkk and Chiang mai for a total of 3 weeks only.

Answer summary

As of now, there are no mandatory mask requirements in Thailand for travelers, although some places may still ask you to wear one, especially in public transport and certain establishments. While most locals in Bangkok choose to wear masks, it is primarily tourists who are not wearing them. It's advisable to check specific guidelines for public transport and certain services like taxis.

No masks needed anymore, only on public transport, buses, trains etc.

You will find that some Thais are still wearing masks but they are not mandatory.

Just flew out of BKK with Emirates and masks aren't needed anymore.

All covid requirements were pretty much dropped. However, 99% of residents still wear masks (Bangkok) . Only foreign tourists do not. Some establishments still require a mask.
