What are the current entry requirements and challenges at the Nong Khai border for re-entering Thailand?
Thought it worth sharing just came back into Thailand at Lao Border/Nong Kai - all was fine as I have a DTV but 2 others turned away for too many entries and another for not having an onward flight, though he was told you on showing proof he could come back.
Very unfriendly and certainly not a border I would recommend without having exact paper work/correct visa etc which of course one should have however if you are in that “grey area” best pick another entry point imho.

I live near Nong Khai border. It use to be extremely easy with 0% rejection rate for the last 15 years+. But since about a year ago, they are rejecting almost everyone doing back to back visa exempt entry.

"Too many entries", "not having an onwards flight"? Say it all. If you are a genuine tourist, how many entries you would have and other counties have the sames rules you should have a return ticket. Saying it is not a friendly border is not what one can say when he cannot meet a simple requirement.

It should and hopefully be the same at any boarder IM.
If they do their job and continue do the same every day all year around then hopefully within a few years we will have peace and quiet, no more cam idiots filming riots because of a drunken idiot who not like a ladyboy 😂
I’ve done crossings on boarders and only met people who try be correct, even told me I wrote my home adress number in wrong way.
It’s in the computers folks, no need to try or blame system or even tell false info about bribes. It’s illegal!!!!

2 people next to me were declined entry at Bkk on Tuesday night when I arrived. They were escorted away by immigration, i assume until a return flight back to where they came from.

My experience was friendly and efficient ( as far as these things go )even helpfull.

Please list the borders that were staffed with friendly helpful immigration officers, Ive yet to find one. 😂😆😆

Never had a issue at Suvarnabhumi airport immigration, most of the time friendly and never any issue or questions.
