TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers arriving in Brisbane from Thailand with a Thai passport and tourist visa are required to have a COVID-19 test within 24 hours of arrival if they are fully vaccinated. However, starting from April 28, the testing requirement will be lifted for fully vaccinated individuals. It is important to check for the latest updates from reliable sources or government websites, as there are varying reports about the necessity of tests.
Yes, I believe that is still the case. From 28th April the rules change and no test is required after this date. "If you are a fully vaccinated international arrival entering Queensland, you must get a COVID-19 test within 24 hours of your arrival in Queensland and quarantine at your residence, accommodation or boat (leaving only if necessary to obtain a COVID-19 test at an approved Queensland Government COVID-19 testing centre) until you receive a negative result."
Do you still need to complete a covit test on arrival within 24hrs as i’m reading online you need but being told differently as long as you are fully vaccinated
I returned to Brisbane in March, only needed a certified R A T , 24 hrs before flight, unfortunately I stuffed up, I got the test at 9am the day before, I arrived at the airport 4pm next day and they(Singapore Airlines) didn't accept it, they sent me to a clinic next to the Airport and fortunately I had enough time to complete the test and get back before the flight my mistake, but I heard on the radio news that Australia is dropping the PCR/R A T requirement for fully vaccinated travellers.
