What are the details about covid test to get into CW? I did a search which took me to a Tod post saying it was fake news but that was from Jan 15. If it is required, can we just get the test kit from a pharmacy? Or have to have a hospital document?

I was there yesterday. Just had to fill out the form and they let me in. Did not see anyone getting pulled aside for a test. Guess it depends if you answer “Yes” to the question re: being outside of Thailand for the past 14 days.

Few people if any are told to go take an antigen test when you show up at Chaengwattana. The target people who have been out of bangkok in the last two weeks mostly.

Just show up, fill out the form, if they tell you to test there's a testing site right there.

you can get an antigen test from

before you go, test and take a photo of it (with the time/date stamp) and they'll accept that as proof.

Most people just fill out the form, and get right in.

I stood there a while watching who they were sending to get tested and who they let skate thru and it's about 1 in 20 or 1 in 30 that they send for the test.

One person was just back from up country and he was sent for testing, and a couple back packers (with their back packs, singha beer singlets, cargo shorts, dreadlocks and flip flops) who said they stay at Khao San road were sent too BUT that's all I saw standing there and talking to the people handing out the forms.
