I've just booked an appointed for a new visa but I have thought about changing the date. When I looked to cancel the appoint I see this. Does this mean if I cancel my appointment today I need to wait 10 more days to book another appointment? I also read the FAQ page. No where does it say if you cancel an appointment you are penalized for it. Only if you don't show. I'd love some help with this.

Answer summary

If you cancel your visa appointment in Thailand, you will have to wait 10 days to book a new one. If you do not show up for your appointment instead of canceling, you will have to wait 30 days before making a new appointment. This policy aims to reduce last-minute cancellations that impact others needing to apply for a visa.

The big blue box on the left side when you first open the page, box is called Announcements:

A New Cancellation Policy

Sun 04, August 2019

The applicants can cancel their appointments in "My appointment(s)" section. However, many applicants have made short notice cancellations which affect others who really need to apply for a Visa. Therefore, any appointment cancellation will prevent you from booking a new appointment for 10 days.

I didn't even realize I could scroll through that box. The announcement isnt visible on the page unless you scroll down. Thank you for showing me that.

Yes 10 days you have to wait if you cancel and if you dont show its 30 days before you can make another appointment. I found out the hard way. You wont be able to log in.

It's both.

Cancel now, wait 10 days.

Don't cancel, just miss appointment, wait 30 days.
