What are the challenges and requirements when applying for DTV in Thailand from HCMC?
Hi everyone!
I applied initially from Indonesia (Jakarta) but it was declined. I assume because they’re strict on the “seasoning” of the savings, when I had only recently transferred them into the one account.
I am now looking to re-apply at HCMC.
Does anyone else use Xendit/Stripe/payment portals? Just figuring out the smoothest way to document the payments I receive from clients, as I think attaching bank statements last time was too lengthy.
Also, is there a minimum income required for DTV? I didn't read that part if so.

I just applied here. I'm curious how long it has been since your submission; did it take you long to find out it was rejected?

That sounds weird to me. For one, seasoning is not a legal requirement by the law underlying the DTV - but I know several embassies make rules up to make it one. Second, demonstrating regular income from clients isn't a legal requirement, either - only sufficiently showing proof of 500k THB in savings is. What a mess this has become with embassies making up arbitrary rules. Hope you have better luck next time. Sad that luck is needed at all - it should be clear from the law what is required and what is not. But this Thailand.
