TLDR : Answer Summary
When preparing a will to cover assets in both the US and Thailand, it is highly recommended to establish separate wills for each country due to their distinct legal jurisdictions. Many expats suggest that a US will carries no power in Thailand, therefore it is crucial to have a Thai will that can be prepared relatively inexpensively, often requiring bilingual documentation. Additionally, some contributors shared their personal experiences of having a Thai will that outlined the distribution of assets to partners and family members, emphasizing the importance of clear legal structures in both countries.

You will need a will in each country

Thai will needs to done with a lawyer, and it may need to be bi-lingual. It is only for assets in Thailand. You will need a separate will for the US.

I did one will here written in Thai and English specifying my Thai assets go to my Thai partner and my usa assets go to my son. The executor in Thailand is the law office and the executor in usa is my son. 2 notorized copies. One for law office and one for my son.
