What are the best nearby beach destinations for a quick trip from Thailand, and how can I obtain an Ed visa for myself and my child?

Hey everyone πŸ™πŸ½

I have a couple of questions I’m looking for pointers in…

1. My stamp out is for march 22nd. I plan to do the extension and then when my month is up, head to a nearby country for a couple of weeks (looking for nice beaches and minimal covid requirements). Any recommendations on where to go?

2. I plan to stay in Thailand for a year with my 3 year old. I’m looking into the Ed visa through Muay Thai because I’m interested in learning but I am open to any other visas that would make a year stay in Thailand seamless including a child Ed visa. I also am curious as to how a visa of my own would work with my child - does she just go under me or will I have to also workout a visa for her?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on travel destinations with nice beaches and minimal COVID requirements for a trip after extending their stay in Thailand. Additionally, they are inquiring about obtaining an Ed visa through Muay Thai for themselves, the possibility of a child Ed visa for their three-year-old, and how the visas would be structured for both mother and child.

Practically all neighboring countries have abandoned Covid requirements except the following: 1) Myanmar - test or vaccine (rumors suggest this might be scrapped in about a month), 2) Philippines- vaccine or test and 3) Indonesia - vaccine only.

So for beaches and spending some time hanging around, I'd choose Cambodia, Vietnam or Malaysia. Vietnam is probably the best of the bunch, cheapest too but problematic with visas. You'll only get one month with no extensions possible but it sounds like that's all you need.

We did not make it to the beach but Cambodia was nice. Would you settle for a pool?

Go to Da Nang, Vietnam

Chu Hotel ($15. USD per night) nearby My An beach;

Hoi An historic village nearby, Hue, other excursions into the countryside-- lovely.

you might need an Evisa depending on your citizenship & length of stay:

no Covid hassles at all.

Official Evisa site:
