Mostly all small operators and you take your chance. The jet ski scam has been running for years, i first came to Thailand in 1985 working on QE2 and one of my fellow engineers got done for a lot of money. All police and ships security involved.

If you scratch it you will be liable for 1000,'s it's the biggest scam, watch it on YouTube.

Check your travel insurance before renting, it may exclude that sort of activity.

Be careful. Lots are con artists. Will say you've damaged the jetski. Take lots of photos and go with a Thai person
