Hello,

I need to go to the main immigration office in Hua Hin for an annual extension of a non-O visa that I applied in France.

What are the best days and times to go?

I live in Bang Saphan, which is a three-hour drive away.

Also, my wife called, and they told that i need a witness!

Have you ever encountered this situation?

Thank you in advance.
Answer summary
To extend your non-O visa at the Hua Hin Immigration Office, it's recommended to visit on Tuesday to Thursday around 1 PM when the office is generally quieter. You can also consider the Dan Singkhon Immigration Office, which is closer to Bang Saphan and typically has shorter wait times. Additionally, it has been noted that if your non-O visa is marriage-based, a witness may indeed be required for the extension process.

The Dan Singkhon Immigration Office is the closest full-service immigration branch primarily serving the Bang Saphan area, while the Prachuap Khiri Khan Main Immigration Office in Thap Tai holds full provincial jurisdiction.

Because Bang Saphan is a district within the Prachuap Khiri Khan province, you fall under the provincial authority of the Prachuap Khiri Khan Immigration bureau.

Depending on the type of application you need to process, you have three official options:

1. Dan Singkhon Immigration Office (Closest Option)Located in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan district, this office sits roughly halfway between Bang Saphan and Hua Hin. It is highly recommended for southern residents due to its fast-processing speeds and smaller crowds.

Best For: Visa extensions (Tourist, Non-Immigrant), 90-day reporting, and TM30 notification processing.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Location: Google Maps Location

2. Prachuap Khiri Khan Main Office (Thap Tai). This is the provincial headquarters located in the southern outskirts of Hua Hin.

Best For: Complex long-term visa extensions (e.g., Retirement or Marriage Visas) and Residency Certificates.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (Closed 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM for lunch).

Location: Google Maps Location

3. Blueport Hua Hin Immigration Branch (Limited Service)This downsized shopping mall basement branch offers excellent customer service but does not handle long-term residency renewals.

Best For: Standard 30-day tourist visa extensions, 90-day reporting, re-entry permits, and TM30 filing.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Location: Google Maps Location

There are no guaranteed quiet times. But, 1pm Tuesday to Thursday are more likely to be quieter.

Is the Hua Hin Immigration Office the one that serves the Bang Saphan district where you live? Is Hua Hin where your TM30 was filed? I know Thailand is long and thin in that area but a 3 hour drive seems excessive.

Yes, if your Non-O is based on marriage they can ask for a witness to attend
