Good morning.

I will be renewing my OA Visa soon based upon the extention of stay 800.000 Bht method.

Question number one how many weeks before my current viva expires should I apply.

Question number two. I fu***d up the other day drawing money from my 800.000 Bht account. I didn't go below the 800.000 though purely by luck. My money normally sits there and I use a different bank account for day to day purposes.

Will this effect my Visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the timing for applying to renew their OA Visa based on the 800,000 Baht financial requirement and whether withdrawing money from that account affects their visa status. Comments provide clarity that as long as the balance did not fall below the required amount and that applications are typically accepted 30 days before expiration, the user should be fine. It is also noted that recent changes may require health insurance for extensions.

Also remember IF you are indeed getting an extension from an O-A visa <- the kind of visa you got in your country by submitting a police background check, a medical certificate and showing proof of funds in your country you WILL now need to have health insurance from one of the 13 approved thai insurance companies that meet the minimum requirements.

You will not be renewing anything :O The O-A visa expires when it expires and your entry stamp from it expires when it expires. You will be applying for a brand new yearly extension of stay.

Most offices let you do that when you have 30 days or less left on your current entry stamp or extension.

As long as your balance didn't go below the 800K baht needed for the extension you will be fine. Remember the 800K baht needs to be in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for your extension (NOT for 2 months before your extension expires)

If you didn’t go below the 800,000 then you’re ok .
