Hi DTV squad. Just wanted to ask for recommended service agents to help open a joint Thai account (my wife and I). We both got our DTV and are British. One service agent quoted me 15,000 baht a person and through a Pattaya branch. Seems very expensive! If anyone has had a positive and reasonably priced experience would be grateful to be pointed in the right way. Thank you in advance and apologies if this has posted already!

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat in Thailand is seeking recommendations for service agents to help open a joint bank account with their spouse, expressing concerns about a quoted fee of 15,000 baht per person. Community responses vary, suggesting alternatives such as separate accounts due to potential complications with joint accounts, with some agents quoted at around 5,000 to 10,000 baht in Pattaya. There are also concerns about fees and the overall process of opening a bank account for expats.
no it's not impossible but it seems more difficult on a DTV than any other visa. You just have to keep trying different bank branches until you hit the right one
