Can anyone recommend a good long-term health insurance for the multi Thai DTV Visa?

Also, can people please tell me roughly how much they pay because I’ve got quotes that are super super high and just wasn’t expecting it to be that much money

I do also need to be covered for obviously the Muay Thai and also diving

Thank you !

TLDR : Answer Summary
An user seeks recommendations for long-term health insurance for the Thai DTV Visa, specifically for activities like Muay Thai and diving. Several commentators recommended various insurers, including Safetywing, Tenzing Pacific Services, and CareMed, while highlighting their experiences such as claims and coverage. The cost of insurance is a concern, especially when initial quotes appear high.

As your visa is a tourist visa you can apply for long term travel insurance from your home country

CareMed follows the german law to cover unlimited, you can check if diving is included Muay Thai is, but diving is a special. I never had a problem with them in compare to Genki or safety, which caused me trouble.

I've used Safetywing for a year and a half. Works great , made 5 claims this far and never had any problems, unlike Thai insurance companies that fight you for every baht.

Safetywing covers you in Thailand, but also the rest of the world, in case you travel a lot.

I'm happy you had a good experience with them, but there's a lot of people, including me who had lots of issues with them. They refused to pay out my completely valid claim and I spend months arguing with them after which they paid me half. The Thai hospital I was in said they always had issues with this company and advised me to change insurance🙏
