The discussion revolves around finding affordable visa agents for applying for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand. Responses include opinions on whether hiring an agent is necessary, with some users suggesting that the application process is straightforward and can be done independently, while others recommend specific agents like Settle Abroad in Pattaya, which charges ฿8000 for assistance. There is a consensus that affordable agents may not always provide the best service, emphasizing the importance of getting it done correctly.
Best and affordable are two different things. I have found that affordable agents can't get things done as well as other agents that cost more. If your goal is to get things done right the first time and not have to worry about it then that it's going to cost you a little bit more

Many around if you feel you need one - I’m sure you will be abused to DIY but if you want to use an agent do so

Settle Abroad in Pattaya they did my application for me. I got my DTV Visa in five working days and they only charge me ฿8000.
I think they have many satellite offices

I will tell you in dollars what it cost me if that’s what you’re asking the cost. The agency charged me $236 for their services. The embassy charged $450 for the visa and the Muay Thai school charge me for three months. $354 so the total cost was $1,040.
yes they use Google Drive and what I sent through Google Drive was copy of my passport, a recent passport photo, I sent them six months of bank statements(even though they only asked for three) copy of my electrical bill where I live and a copy of my California drivers license and they sent me a information sheet where I wrote all my info on and that was it and within a week I had my DTV Visa and they applied for me in Los Angeles. They did completely everything and also I’m on soft power Muay Thai and they set that up for me also and I just sent payment to the Muay Thai school.
Please message our team, we can find the lowest cost soft power activity which will make the most sense for you, and the consulate you will be applying through.
the applicant still needs to handle the 3-6 months bank statements and money in their bank. the applicant still has to get documents from his employer or soft power activity. the applicant still needs to get the location proof document(s). in none of these things an agency is of any help. the details of the documents can easily be found in the DTV Thailand group if there is a question. So the only thing an agent can provide is checking the documents abs giving advise. same as the fb group can do. but you ask tens of thausands of baht for it.
Fees are always related to what is actually required.
For simple peace of mind, document review, submission, and follow up until approval it is usually less than 10,000 thb. This can be helpful in avoiding delays which can be caused by follow up emails, and non refundable evisa rejections.
of course you can use an agent if you cannot understand the requirements for the 4 simple documents you need to upload. its the same with people using agents for other visa. it’s not hard to think for yourself and do it alobe. but if you are willing to pay others to think for you then thats a viable way to do things. i rather use the money for other things 😅
