What are my options if I can't return to Thailand in time to show my bank book for visa requirements due to restrictions?

Sandbox and Visa problem .

Received type O non-imm extension for another year recently. By late September I have to be back in Thailand to prove the 800,000 was in the bank for 3 months.

My plan was to fly to Phuket mid-august and exit sandbox end of August to get back to Pattaya condo beginning of September and then go to immigration to show Bank book 800000 in Jomtien.

Rising cases in Phuket so level one restrictions kicked in today. Level 3 is Hotel quarantine. I do not want to go back to Phuket just to go into Hotel quarantine. If I want to stay in United States to monitor things I would miss the end of September immigration appointment.

So I'm thinking missing that appointment would end my non immigration visa and I would have to start all over when I enter Thailand. Any thoughts?

My Bangkok Bank passbook is back in Pattaya. So there's no way I could pursue the unlikely option of somehow updating the bank book with the balance remotely and showing it to the Thai Embassy in the US.

There is NO hotel quarantine on Phuket .from the 1 aug you can travel after 7 days to near provinces.

But yes it looks like you are in problems

Go to the next royal thai consulate to discuss this . The letter of the bank is easier you can get it may be by mail

Have you been specifically requested to return to show your bank book? That's the first I've ever heard of this happening

0 in bank for at least 3 months past renewal. Prove Jomtien w/ bank book I had to do this last year unless my memory is failing me so I believe it's still in effect this year for non-immigration type O .

Brad Dubbs. I do mine at CW. Never once have I had to return three months after renewal of extension to prove money is still in the bank! They simply check it at next renewal. Jontiem must have stricter rules.
