Hello, I have 90d Non-O until 8. march and leaving Thailand 23. march and I'm wondering which options I have. I was on immigration and they said one year or 7 days extension. I can not provide documents for one year but not sure about 7 as I didn't ask because I need 15 days. I planed go do border bounce which is 7k and lost hard day or two so I'm now wondering about to do 7day extension and then pay for 8 days overstay on the airport which seems to be still less or equal to 7k with saved energy and time for border bounce. What do you think about that or do I have another options? Would it be ok in the Samui airport if I come with 8days ovestay?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The questioner is seeking options for extending their stay in Thailand on a 90-day Non-O visa that expires on March 8. They consider a 7-day visa extension but are advised against overstaying, as it comes with risks such as fines, deportation, and difficulties in future travels. Comments suggest that a border run might be the best option, costing around 7,000 baht, as it provides a safe way to extend their stay and avoid complications with immigration laws.

It's not a 7 day "extension". Technically they deny your extension and give you 7 days to leave the country. There is no such thing as paying to overstay when you have been ordered to leave.

NEVER overstay, it may bring trouble later on.

If you overstay on the back of a 7-day "extension denied" stamp you could be in very deep shit. Do a border bounce it's realistically your only option
What Non-O are you currently on, one for Thai family (wife or child)? If you have Thai family you can get the 60 day "Visit Thai Family" extension.

That will see you have problems. That 7 days that you refer to is not an extension. It's what you get when an extension application is accepted and then refused. It gives you exactly 7 days from the date it is issued to get out of Thailand. It is issued on the date you apply and doesn't get added to the end of your current extension. It's a hard 7 days too so you need to leave within that time.
You should never plan to overstay, if you are found on overstay by the authorities you can be arrested, deported and banned. Do the border run and use a border run agency to do it, it's the only way you can be sure of being allowed back in

At least you don’t need much documentation to get 7 days as it’s just a "Extension Denied" stamp. Your only option is a border bounce if you can’t apply for the one year extension of stay. From Bangkok and Pattaya you’ll get border bounce from 3500 baht. Personally I never would have done a 15 or 8 days overstay. You’ll be fined with up to 7500 baht anyway and you’ll get an overstay stamp that potentially could give you issues later. And if you’ll get stopped by police or anything happens within these 15 days you could face serious consequences.

Never a good plan to overstay. Sure IF you get to the airport the fine would only be 4,000 baht and a red overstay stamp in your passport.
Not generally an issue returning to Thailand with that but other countries may have an issue with that stamp if you apply for a visa for there.
Also if you were to be stopped at a police checkpoint or had an accident whilst on overstay that could open up a whole can of worms for you. Potentially deportation and a ban for re-entering for 5 years. This scenario is unlikely but it could potentially happen.
7k for a bounce might turn out to be money well spent.

Dont do overstay especially in Samui, you get caught without visa you will be arrested, deported and probably banned from entering for maybe a year maybe 5 years
