I have been asked to provide more documents for my DTV and I’m unsure what to do about this one:

• “Please contact Revolut to issue your recently personal bank statements with an official stamp on them or a formal letter stating your name and details and the balance equivalent to Pound Sterling, US Dollar , EURO ( minimum closing balance of 11,000 GB”

I had already provided a pdf of my bank statements showing at least £11,000 already. So what are they asking for now?

Mail your bank and ask them you need a formal bank statement with stamps and stuff cuz you need it to apply for a Visa. Easy peasy

Do what they request? Or move the money into a brick and mortar bank and give them what they need. Revolut is not a real bank. I personally wouldn't put more than a few thousand in there let alone 10+

I think they do one final check before issuing to make sure you still have the 500k THB in your account. WISE allows you to get a stamp on your statement so hopefully 🤞🏽 Revolut you can do the same.

Revolut don’t provide stamped statements but I have the funds in the account as well as an account confirmation letter - so hopefully that will suffice

I have Revolut, and used it to apply for my DTV. It works great as I can hold foreign currency and wait for fluctuations, and it has a half-decent interest when you opt for the paid tiers (which pay for themselves, if you actually utilise them). When I got my DTV, I sent them the exported pdf versions, downloaded from the app.

PDF statement not valid. You need a proper, stamped by Revolut, statement. Ideally, signed by a Revolut director.

With Wise you can choose between 2 types of statement downloads, a regular one and a signed/stamped one. See if Revolut has a similar option.

I’m not familiar with Revolut bank, but if they have a branch, you can request a statement and the teller can stamp that statement showing it’s official.

The other alternative is requesting a letter from your bank which contains your identifying information, account number, current balance etc.

Also check, is the address on your bank statement(s) consistent with the other documentation you provided for your application?

revolut is an online wallet, physically they might have one global branch only.. not more

I would suggest contacting customer service and explain the circumstances and see if they can provide a letter confirming your current account details with their signature.

If they can’t, then write a formal letter to the consulate expressing this is an online bank with no branches. I would state that you contacted customer service and the only thing you can provide are the PDF statements, take some screenshots of your mobile app showing your account, and print out anything you can find on their website giving detailing more about Revolut and hope it works 🤞

Revolut has told me that I can give them my Account Confirmation letter.

They can’t provide a formal letter or stamped statements

They are ensuring you are providing an official document from your bank not a pdf that can very easily be manipulated.

But all I can get from any of my banks is a pdf. I applied for mortgages etc. and the pdf-s were accepted.

Looks like they are asking for an official stamp. In Thailand the banks do this for your visa or extensions. Not heard of it asked for in UK etc. In Thailand the letter is valid for a week from date of stamp.
