TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has received approval for a DTV visa and seeks advice on whether to enter Thailand by flight or land border from Malaysia. They mention past entry denials and are uncertain about the best choice to ensure successful entry. Commenters recommend flying into Bangkok or Samui instead of Phuket due to stricter immigration checks and advise bringing proof of the DTV visa when traveling.
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight βοΈ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
I advice you better fly to BKK if you have DTV visa. Phuket immigration very strict. And if you choose to fly to Phuket need prepare all document about DTV that you had apply. π Just in case immigration will ask you to show all.
