Hi everyone,  I got a METV last year & im applying for a non O visa this year 

I was told by a reputable agent that when I apply for the non O visa from my home country that I should start a new account  with a different email address    Any thoughts on this.  TIA

BS just apply don’t try to trick the system it doesn’t work you received a METV in the past you used it correctly and had no overstay so that’s a good record why would an agent tell you this ??

SIMPLE just go and speak directly to an Immigration officer in Thailand or the Embassy or Consulate in your country, as others have already stated Thai Immigration already has your details and they will know that your current passport is expiring and you will need a new one, just provide them with both the old passport and new passport details .

I haven’t. But it’s what a top agent told me to do. Then when I arrive in Thailand with the non O then go to him & he’ll sort the retirement visa out

1. Complete Non O based on retirement at home.

2. Enter Thailand and open a bank account

3. Transfer ฿800,000 to your thai bank account

4. Season for 2 months and apply for the Non O 12-month Extension based on retirement.

I am not sure how that will make a difference as all your passport details are in the system. A different email address will not circumvent this.

New account where ? With the agent ? On the e-visa site ? If on the e-visa site, I doubt it would matter, as they would already have your full name and address as well as your passport.

I would think their computers would spot it easily.

No I did the METV myself. The agent who told me to open a different email is mark on soi 6 beach rd. highly recommended by lots of ppl

I don’t know if it’ll make any difference. But I renewed my passport a couple of months ago. I most have mentioned to him that the passport I was using was running out
