Should I be concerned about denied entry to Thailand with a SETV despite my travel history?

Hey folks,

I'm flying into BKK in a few weeks and am a little nervous given some of the reports going around at the moment about denied entries.

Do these generally tend to happen to people living B2B on TV or VE stamps?

I have a history of staying in Thailand for 4-6 months of the year but I have been out of the country now for 5 months and am returning from London with a SETV, have 20k, onward ticket and hotel reservation.

Should I be concerned given my history or should it be fine given my 5 month absence?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A traveler with a SETV is seeking advice regarding potential entry issues into Thailand after a 5-month absence. The community responses suggest confidence that the traveler should not face problems entering the country, especially with a legitimate visa and travel documents. Concerns about entry restrictions are discussed, particularly around the use of back-to-back visa extensions.

It’s the fake 180 day rule I’m most worried about

Agree with above. You have a real visa and also the other requirements they may ask for so should be fine.

Thanks! These responses are much friendlier and more reassuring than the unnamed other facebook group 😂

quick question. Do you have “find the visa that’s fits the purpose of your stay” permanently in your clipboard 🤔
