Will I face issues entering Thailand again with a Visitor Visa after a short absence?

I'll be leaving Thailand on Jan 22. I want to return in mid April for a visit. Flying in from Da Nang, Vietnam, landing at DMK. I'll have all the proofs. Do you foresee any problem if my entry history from 2018 is as follows: two VEs (one with 30 day extension) and one non-B which was for a job I no longer do. No entries before 2018. Will a VE work next time or should I get a visa at the embassy in Vietnam? Canadian passport. Thanks for any advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is concerned about re-entering Thailand on a Visitor Visa (VE) after having had a few previous stays, particularly regarding their entry history from 2018, which includes two VEs and one non-B visa. They plan to return in mid-April after leaving on January 22 and want to understand if a VE will be accepted again or if a different visa from the embassy in Vietnam is necessary. A commenter noted that entry decisions rest solely with the immigration officers and that the individual's complete visa history will be accessible to them, emphasizing that there is no formal quota for the number of days stayed. It was also suggested that if the person intends to stay longer than 30 days, applying for a Tourist Visa at the embassy would be advisable.

There is no quota for number of days in Thailand. The Immigration Officer sees your complete history of stays, used visa's etc on his computer screen. I repeat: we are NOT Immigration Officers that make the decision if you can enter or not. We can not take away your concern.

My concern was mostly about whether I'd be seen as a back-to-back person or whether I topped any quota for number of days in Thailand.

I will only have been out of Thailand about 3 months and not one year.

Oh - i misread 'no entries before 2018'... Disregard my comment then. APols

If you want to stay longer than 30 days the Tourist Visa is a better choice. Make sure you have the 3 proofs: 20K Thb or equivalent currency, onward travel and accommodation. If it will work or not is the decision of the Immigration Officer and we can not tell you.
