Urgent Visa – Flight Tomorrow

We applied for a visitor visa approximately one month ago and are still awaiting the outcome. Our flight is scheduled for tomorrow, and despite several calls and emails, we have been unable to receive any update.

Any ideas , how to reach out to Thai visa team???

Thanks
Answer summary
The post discusses an urgent concern regarding a pending visitor visa application with an upcoming flight to Thailand. The user is seeking advice on how to contact the Thai visa team due to a lack of updates despite multiple communication attempts. Various comments suggest alternatives such as entering Thailand on a visa exemption for 30 days and applying for extensions later, as well as recommendations for contacting the consulate through Facebook Messenger or other platforms. The situation is compounded by recent flooding in Thailand and a public holiday, leading to delays in processing.

If your travelling on a Australian passport you will get an automatic visitor 30 day stay on arrival @ immigration. Anymore than 30 days sort it out there

You will have to do the thailand digital arrival card tonight.

It takes 10 minutes online & it's free.

You don’t mention what visa you applied for or the duration of you intended stay.

You can enter for 30 days visa exempt and then extend for a further 30 days.

Other than that, no idea on how to help with your dilemma.

As per some experiences...if you submitted you visa application properly, paid and with no document required/to update....then your confirmation email can come any time. As many cases people received their visa approved just day before even last day of their schedule flight.. in last minutes. Consulate knows pending cases to approve if all submitted properly even in last minute. Keep checking your email inbox and spam folder too.

I applied for tour visa from sydney embassy on 3rd sep. its on pending document check.

I applied another application from canberra again.

And it got me visa in 3 business days.

I called and texted canberra embassy like a mad person.

I hope this helps. I am more than happy to help you out as I have been in this position. I just got my visa today after emailing and calling them a thousand times.

A couple of years ago I applied for multiple entry visa 6 weeks before I was due to fly, the Thai embassy in London took the £150 fee but 1 week before the flight I was sending emails and trying to phone, they never replied or answered the phone, I ended up without the visa, just had the 60 day free entry and had to go to hua hin immigration office to extend for another 30 days. I'm pretty sure someone in the London office is fiddling the books.

Just fly anyway — you’ll get visa-exempt entries for 30 days that can be extended by another 30. I stayed 150 days without any visa whatsoever this year!!

Thorsten Massinger in addition to a overview in your bank account for the last 6 month, actual withba signature by your bank, they asked for actual confirment of your monthly income, for flights they were asking for first flight out and second flight in the country....

That is the common problem with the new visa regulations. Obviously the e-visa process is not really working as it should work and there is no option available what to do when the system sucks. Phone and emails not being answered. All this together will lead to dramatic loss is tourism income for Thailand.

Interested to see if your visa comes through in time. I'm in the same predicament. I applied 4 weeks ago through Sydney consulate, it's been in pending document check since then. Depart in 48 hrs

When did you apply, everyone applying should allow many weeks imo, they don’t work to last minute jobs. Buy a cheap one way exit flight within the 30 days and arrive on visa exemption don’t forget to do the TDAC within 72 hrs of arrival, it’s online free and simple.

Maybe you’ll get your eVisa through in time though 🤞GL

exactly, gettin even single entry tourist visa is not easy....a lot more requirements compare old system when you got it physically from embassy, and big stress to wait it in time....i rather go with 30 days exempt and for that 30 days extension, for me that works better😊

annoys the shight out of me likewise

In addition those that say get the correct visa

I'm certainly entitled to a retirement option with funds but I simply don't want one

I don't qualify for this DTV because I refuse to sign up to some bullshit course

Leaving METV which required 6 months statements with minimum balance of £5000

Emailed them with investment accounts a long long way into 6 figures and told not acceptable

Leaving SETV which I duly got

I get told by one or two I'm not a tourist if I stay here 6 months or longer

That's exactly what I am

Paul Thomas if you are staying in Thailand more than 179 days in a calendar year, you are considered a tax resident and by law you should be filing income tax. It doesn’t matter if you think you are a tourist, you are legally a tax resident. You may not owe anything if you don’t have a Thai bank account though.
Guy **********
Guy **********
Paul METV requires 3 months statements of 20k Baht. Where are you getting your information from? My info comes from applying and getting METV in July.
Leevi ***********
Leevi ***********
Guy Mitchell it depends on country and embassy....in Finland METV visa requires 6000 euro and 6 months bank statements
Jared **********
Jared **********
Paul Thomas so you have several options, but you don’t wish to use them or follow whatever requirement or rules they dictate….and you’re annoyed?

Also METV requires 3 months financial proof, not 6

And no, if you stay over 6 months you are not a tourist, you are a tax resident

You should be annoyed, annoyed at yourself
Simon *******

Paul Thomas why cant you obey the countries rules ,after far as Thailand is concerned if you stay longer than 6 months you are classed as living in Thailand, their rules not yours, retirement visas are easy and cheap now ,I know of people coming on a 90 day non O getting an agent to sort the 12 month extension and a bank account for 15,000 baht
Paul *******
Paul *******
@Phil *****
incorrect, 45k is if you need a non O have no bank account. if you have an account and a non O it's about 15k
Simon *******
Simon *******
@Phil *****
Sorry to correct you as I have already said IF YOU GET YOUR NON O BEFORE YOU ARRIVE IN THAILAND YOU CAN GET AN AGENT TO SORT OUT THE 12 MONTH EXSTENSION AND BANK ACCOUNT FOR 15,000BHT WHAT YOU ARE ON ABOUT IS GETTING THE AGENT TO SORT THE NON O OUT WHILE YOU STAY IN Thailand.

So by sorting the Non O out before you arrive can save you a lot of money
Phil ******
Phil ******
Simon Adams For a first application visa agencies charge around 45,000 baht if you are using the agency's 800,000 baht. I think if you have a Thai bank account, which I have at Bangkok Bank, and you use your own 800,000 baht the fee is usually 13,000baht.

Lisa Callard that also seems not possible. I enquired about buying a flight out to Singapore or Malaysia at 30 days then returning but since my original ticket still is for 50 days they won't let me board. Seems the only option is to cancel or change the return date to 30 days.
