TLDR : Answer Summary
A WISE transfer can be considered an international transfer, but it is crucial to select the correct reason for the transfer, such as 'funds for long-term stay in Thailand.' For a one-year marriage extension, proof of an international transfer is not typically required, unless you are making monthly transfers. Experiences vary with different Thai banks; for example, some users found that transfers to Bangkok Bank were recognized as international, while transfers to SCB and Kasikorn Bank were not. Always check with local immigration requirements, as policies may differ by location.

Many immigration offices (specifically hua hin) will require credit advice statements for foreign deposits if required. One for each. They don't recognize what's printed on the statement. They want the detail... Just my experience 2 months ago....
. Well my transfers for the last 6 years and still do show international transfer to my Bangkok Bank not that it makes any difference to me I only transfer maybe 3 or 4 times a year .
1) Extensions do not require proof of international transfer unless you are doing monthly transfers.
2) In order to get Wise to attempt to show as an international transfer, you must select the correct reason for the transfer. It says something like "funds for long-term stay." Choosing this is not a guarantee that it will show as international, but they will attempt to get it to do so.
But to summarize, you don't need to worry about it in your case. Both the 1-year extension for marriage and retirement are not required to show as international. It's only the conversion from tourist to non-O retirement that requires this for lump sum.
agreed but for one point they will not 'attempt to get it to do so' they will route the payment by the most convenient and quickest route. Which means it may or may not show as an international transfer. For this reason I no longer use wise after being a customer for around 13 years. Swift (bank to bank) takes longer and is more expensive but at least you know it will show as an international transfer.
Yes I'm sure, as I said I've used wise for 13 years. The problems have arisen over the last year or so where they have changed their processes a couple of times with no notice and have become unpredictable. It would also seem to be dependant on other factors such as which Thai bank you're using but even then using the 'funds for long term stay' option does not guarantee payments will show as an international transfer.
I had a problem with Wise re-routing my monthly 65k transfer and not showing as international. The solution is to contact Wise and they will adjust your account to avoid this issue happening in future.
