Hi,

My flight to Myanmar leaves today soon and I have a return flight to Thailand booked the same day. Is visa exemption on arrival still permitted without a health certificate given that I have been in Thailand for the last 2 months?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the current visa exemption rules for entering Thailand after a short trip to Myanmar, specifically asking if a health certificate is required given their stay in Thailand for the past two months. Several comments followed, discussing the need for health declarations and updates on traveling between Myanmar and Thailand amidst evolving COVID-19 regulations. Ultimately, the user reported that they faced no difficulties entering Thailand on their return, only needing to complete a temperature check, though there were varying requirements depending on the airline.

The health cert and insurance goes into effect the 22nd. My friend who was issued a 60 day visa from the Thai embassy in Bali informed him of that. For those that are traveling hopefully it doesn’t change

Arrived in Mandalay. Had pictures taken of my passport, visa and health declaration form which everyone needed to fill out on the flight. Return flight to Chiang Mai is at 8pm so I'll report back. So far no difficulties.

I'm back in! On arrival I had to download the AOT app and submit a TM-8 form via this app. Afterwards you have your temperature check and proceed to immigration as normal. Bangkok airways currently do not ask for a med cert and insurance, unlike AirAsia. However this may change at any point. Good luck to anyone in the same situation.

Update: Successfully checked in with only a temperature check required. No health cert or insurance required as of now for Bangkok Airways. Heard rumours of AirAsia requiring these documents already even though the new rules are not meant to be in effect until the 22nd March

have you inquired with Air Asia in Yangon about coming back into Thailand today and if they're going to br requiring all visitors to have the Covid-19 test?

Applying for Evisa now (super urgent one). I have US passport with non-o multi visa.

Do you have a Myanmar visa, and do you meet the requirements to enter Myanmar/

Let me know how it goes. This is my plan too.

Could you update us on how this goes for you? I'm planning on doing this myself today or Tomorrow. I'm hoping there's no need for a medical certificate or a mandatory quarantine after arriving in to Thailand again from Myanmar. 🙏
