The time to renew my STV is approaching, I'm staying in an apartment with a rolling monthly contract. I understand prepayment for duration is a requirement, have immigration shown any flexibility around the requirement or is it strictly enforced.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the prepayment requirement for renewing their STV while staying in an apartment with a rolling monthly contract. They seek information on whether immigration authorities show any flexibility regarding this requirement, noting a comment from another user who successfully renewed their STV without providing proof of payment for their lease agreement.

I renewed an STV last year in bkk. It's been a while since then. I only had lease agreement covering the extension, but they did not ask for proof of payment. Your situation is a bit different in an apartment though.
