TLDR : Answer Summary
The query concerns whether the Thai embassy is operational on Christmas Day, noting that Christmas is not a public holiday in Thailand. Responses indicate that embassy closures vary by location, often aligning with both local and home country holidays. Specific mentions include closures for additional days around New Year's as referenced from the Thai Embassy in Phnom Penh.

Please keep these closures in mind when planning your e-Visa application as e-Visa processing takes a minimum of 10 working days.

Anonymous participant Thai Embassies always publish their holidays on their site. Cambodia is no different.

Depends which country the embassy is in. Embassies usually take both the local and home country holidays. Well the Brits do :-)

I take the piss out of my pal over it. Friday afternoon 1pm finish I think it was. When he was lower down the rung ie 1st Secretary he managed to accumulate 90 days leave back in the 90's. I discovered Hua Hin through his travel videos then. Do not mention the pre-post training back in London too :-)

Not true. It depends on the embassy. You can check each embassy’s website. Under the “about Embassy” tab they have a link to observed holidays. From the ones I looked at, some are not closed, some are closed on 25th and some 24th and 25th
