I just noticed that there is now an online appointment booking system to get re-entry permits at Chang Wattana . Has anyone tried this? Do they stick with the time allotted?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The new online appointment booking system for re-entry permits at Chang Wattana has received positive feedback from users. According to comments, the process is efficient, allowing applicants to complete their appointments within 30 minutes. Users reported that they could fill out the necessary information, select a time, print confirmation, and present it at a specialized desk, which expedited the process. However, it seems that not many people utilize this system for re-entry permits, as most prefer applying after obtaining their year extensions.

Totally works, i've used it on a couple people. You fill out the information, pick the time, print the confirmation and show up with all your copies, form filled out and photo at the time, you get a queue number but you just walk over and show the people in Section C-2 the print out of the appointment and they take you at a special desk. 5-10 minutes later you have your re-entry permit.
It is NOT used all that much because most people get re-entry permits AFTER they get their year extensions from the other sections AND no one knows how long it will take to get that.
I turned up to get one for my wife, without her, and they initially refused. However I was referred to the Supervisor and pleaded and grovelled, with lots of wai-ing, and she relented.

Tod Daniels probably just take the money and deny it. I'll try at DMK when we travel then.
