TLDR : Answer Summary
The DTV visa can potentially be suitable for same-sex couples, but official recognition depends on being married. While Thailand is generally welcoming to LGBTQ+ individuals, same-sex marriage is not yet recognized for visa extensions inside the country. Couples may need to secure separate visas unless legally married. Pending legislation may change this, as gay marriage was approved by parliament in June, awaiting royal endorsement.

Gay marriage was approved by the parliament back in June. Still waiting on the king’s sign off.

BUT same sex marriage is not recognized for visas/extensions inside thailand.

If your country allows same sex marriage then you apply in YOUR country for the thai visa at a consulate there before you come here
