Is the Border with Laos and Thailand Closed at 6 PM?
Is it true the border with Laos and Thailand closes at 6 pm
Answer summary
The border crossing from Thailand to Laos at Mukdahan is open from 6 AM to 10 PM, not closing at 6 PM as questioned. Several comments confirmed this operation time and mentioned that the Lao side closes, affecting the ability to obtain a visa on arrival after a certain hour.

I don't think it's open until midnight because the Lao side closes and you can't get a visa on arrival to stamp IN to Lao
