Hi, please help me. I am here with 2 month TV + i will make extented + 1 month so totaly 3 month until end of the this year and than i am going for one month for example Vietnam and my plan is return back to Thailand in februray . Do you think it's safe to return after 90 used up days only for a stamp a month later or will it be better to deal with another 2 month TV. My history is 2 stamps(visa free) this year april and may for 3 weeks. Do you think is ok for imigration? Or rule 90 days in 6 month period will be applied? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on re-entering Thailand after using 90 days of a tourist visa, having previously been granted visa exemptions. The comments advise that there is no specific '90 days in 6 months rule' but highlight that immigration is wary of individuals trying to stay long-term with short-term visas. It suggests that a history of travel as a tourist could help, but emphasizes the importance of obtaining the correct visa to avoid potential entry denial.

yes i can make another TR visa for 2 month in Vietnam or another country back to going Thailand, but risk no allowed they not allow entry to Thailand is same even i have visa.
I recently got pulled over entering Suvarnabhumi airport after my T/R visa and 30 day extension ran out
Like your thinking now I went to Danang for a few days and re- entered on a visa exemption but the immigration officer called over the supervisor and after a few minutes pleading he said okay this time 30 days no more tourist visa for 6 months and advised me to get a Non O visa next time
yep this what i am afraid, but my plan is staying in Danang 1 month and will be first entry in this year, i just hope everything will be ok or maybe i can try entry by land.
Just have a copy of an outbound flight ready in your hand within the 30 days visa period expidia let you purchase and cancel without any costs involved
Show this to any over zealous immigration officer and maybe have a recent ATM slip handy proving you have funds and you will definitely be okay
I believe you’re overthinking things. The Thai immigration genuinely want tourists to visit. They will generally only question those with copious previous entry history or those that they think could be trying to milk the system. Your history of coming here “last year” should have no impact on the fact you want to return and experience more.
I believe you right, but my idea was, i am coming back to Thailand only 1 month later when my TR+ extented was used, but will be new year and year before i was Thailand totaly 4 month. Ok you right, thank you!
That’s unusual for a second entry, but you didn’t state your previous history so it could have been based on that. Unfortunately it is up to the individual officer to decide so it’s a bit of a lottery. If they’re having a bad hair day then they can certainly give grief.
Yes my entry history isn’t perfect but as you say it’s down to the immigration officer
Bit of advice try to find a immigration booth where there are officers with a few bands on their Epaulettes (shoulders) means they abit more relaxed about using their discretion it’s the rookie officers who get a bit nervous 👍
do you think my history two entry in april 1 week and may for 2 weeks will have still some impact if i will reentry february next year with my history now TR 2 month + 1 month extented until end of this year. I guess I have to accept that it will simply be a lottery, but I would like to avoid it if possible.
Generally immigration are on the lookout for those trying to stay long term in Thailand with short term or no visas. If they suspect you are doing that or potentially working here they can flat out deny entry. If your history looks like a tourist then generally they won’t care.
ok thanks for answer. I know i can not work here, but i think there is a lot of nomads doing their own business based in Europe working remotely. Is better not talk something about that i think?
