My current (Elite) visa ends on June 2nd. I'm planning to leave to Vietnam that exact same day and start my DTV application from there. Just wanted a confirmation from the experts here that staying until that day (June 2) is not considered a one-day overstay. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking confirmation on whether leaving Thailand on the exact expiration date of their Elite visa, which is June 2nd, would be considered an overstay. Experts in the comments clarify that the relevant date is not the visa expiration but rather the date on the most recent passport stamp, which indicates permission to stay. Leaving by 11:59 PM on that date is acceptable and does not constitute an overstay.
The visa is irrelevant to your question. Look in your passport, and find the date on your most recent stamp which is your permission to stay. Whatever date is on that stamp is when you must leave. You have to leave by 11:59pm that night.

Why you need this? You can enter on last day of the visa and get 365 days stamp.
But anyway, you should use date on you stamp, not visa. And last day on stamp is including and not overstay
they have stopped granting 365 additional days on the last day of your Elite visa for years already, unfortunately. Anyway, thanks for confirming that I can stay until June 2 (both my current visa and 'permission to stay until' expire that same day).
I'm just not sure they'll give you another 180 days if you enter on your last day of dtv validity, or even if you enter a couple of months before. Same with the elite visa. I heard that they used to do it in some cases but not anymore

Participante anónimo 710 they will, as the rule is 180 days upon EACH entry, within the validity of the visa.

Анонімний учасник 710 dtv is special multi entry tourist visa. METV also allows to enter any day to get stamp, why it should not be the same? But 100% we will know only in 4 years anyway
