Hi we are flying into Bangkok and have 32 days before we fly out again. We want to make a round trip into Laos, but our problem is, that we have read, that we only get 15 days visa if we return via landborder back to Thailand.

Have someone done it recently and is it true that we get over the land way to Thailand just 15 days?

Thank you in advance ๐Ÿ˜Š

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers returning to Thailand overland may receive a 30-day Visa Exempt Entry, contrary to the notion of a 15-day limit. However, this is subject to conditions, as it can only be utilized twice within a calendar year since the rule change on December 31, 2016.

Since 31 Dec 2016, the rules changed at land borders, these passport holders will get 30 days Visa Exempt Entry, but only allowed to do this 2x a calendar year.
