Hi, I have a question about insurance for STV visa extension.

I would like to extend my visa for 2 months only and not 3 months as it is possible, because I will go back to my country in 2 months.

So, would it be possible to provide an insurance for a duration of 2 months only, instead of 3 months?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about obtaining insurance specifically for a 2-month extension of their STV visa, rather than the standard 3-month period. Responses varied: one suggested that while theoretically possible, it could depend on the immigration office's policies. Another commenter clarified that typically, a 90-day extension is mandatory, and insurance must cover the full 90 days; without it, the extension may not be granted.

It is a 90 day extension, no options, and if you don't have insurance for the 90 days, they will not extend it. The only difference would be if your passport expired before the 90 days.

true in theory BUT my friend got a 60-day ext. on an STV with 60-day insurance after he showed them his departure ticket and talked respectfully to them (Chonburi)

was it an extension of the STV, or was it simply the 60 day covid extension?

STV as stated

Possibly, as your extension would only be given up to the expiry of the insurance. However some immigration offices can be pretty anal when it comes to extensions. Suggest you enquire at your immigration office
