Is it possible to do a border bounce at Mae Sot to extend my tourist visa in Thailand?

Hello All, my current tourist visa extension ends on the 11th of this month and I am wondering if it's possible to do a boarder bounce in Mae Sot on the Burmese boarder? I plan to stay another month in that province. Doing a bounce to Poi Pet doesn't seem logical since I'd have to travel all the way to Mae Sot right after. Is that possible and what problems may I run into? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquires about the possibility of extending their tourist visa by doing a border bounce through Mae Sot right before their current visa expires. They want to avoid longer trips to other borders and ask for potential issues they might encounter. Comments from the community confirm that Mae Sot is considered an easy border for this purpose, requiring a small fee and allowing for quick re-entry into Thailand after a brief visit to Myanmar.

Mae Sot is one of the easiest borders. Stamp out of Thailand. Walk 5 mins across. Stamp into myanmar. 500 baht fee. (If it’s still the same as it was before). Stamp out of Myanmar. Walk 5 mins back to Thailand. Stamp in. Done.

If you want you can explore the markets/town/temples of Myawaddy for an hour or two before going back to Thailand too.

Super easy. No lines. Very friendly immigration officers.

There is also an immigration office on the thai side that will issue you an extension on your visa. Again one of the easiest places in Thailand. Never busy. Very quick and friendly

you can certainly bounce out and back in at Poi Pet. It's just not a user friendly border to deal with

Did it last week to Burma with these:

No hassle and back for lunch

I think you’re limited to 2 land crossing per year.

And dress reasonable smart as they were giving a scruffy guy a hard time upon returning into Thailand.
