TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires about the possibility of applying for a second Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) after the first one was canceled. Comments suggest that while it may be possible to acquire another DTV after a Non-B visa, applicants may face scrutiny regarding their work situation and financial stability. Shared experiences indicate that some embassies have strict requirements, such as proof of consistent income from remote work, which can complicate the process. Further insights from members detail personal experiences with visa regulations and application outcomes.

Sharing this as cautionary example. But this is just my personal story with 1 embassy.

The first time I went for DTV, I was coming off of a non B after a couple years of working in Thailand. The embassy in Taipei told me they couldn’t give me the DTV and to wait 3 months for consistent checks to come in from my remote work before applying again.

When I got my new remote job, I quite my Thai job with the non B & work permit. I only had one month of pay from new job, and even though I had letter from new employer, letter from old employer saying I worked for them and was no longer employed, AND seasoned money in the bank — none of it mattered, because they wanted consistent payment on my *new contract*.

I waited until April and applied again in HCMC with no problems. So tbh it could have been the embassy or a weird rule about coming off non B. I think if I had been a freelancer and had other streams of foreign income while I was employed by Thai company, it would have been a different story.

Hope that this helps you!

I doubt anyone has done the amount of "visa jumping" you seem to be doing, but I guess it is possible to get another one after you cancel the Non-B. Since you are coming off of a Non-B, after having a DTV before that, you may have to explain your new situation and make it clear you will not be working for a Thai company or have Thai clients with whatever you are doing. Yours will be an interesting case. If you decide to go for it please come back and let us know the outcome. Good luck!
