Chiang Mai Immigration. My second Covid extension is due in two weeks, if I go early are they adding onto end of current extension or on application date. When getting my first extension it was from my application date but I have heard this might not be the case on further extensions. Also are they still doing the under consideration thing on second extensions? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the procedure for applying for a second COVID visa extension in Chiang Mai, specifically whether the new extension is added to the end of the current one or based on the application date. They reference their previous experience with the first extension and ask about potential delays in processing.
If you're applying for a covid extension FROM a covid extension they add the new 60 days to your current expiration date BUT (and this is depending on the immigration office) if you are applying for a covid extension from another stamp it starts the day you apply
one more thing, any issues moving immigration offices for the next extension or is it best to try and stick to the same one.. I guess it shouldnt matter but who knows in this strange place
as long as you can prove you live in the area where you're applying <- meaning either you or the land lord filed a TM30 with the immigration office when you moved in, it shouldn't matter..
