TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the possibility of converting to an ED visa without exiting Thailand. It highlights that this conversion is legal, particularly at places like Hua Hin Immigration, but comments suggest it may not be available for all language school centers. Participants emphasized the importance of providing specific details about the current visa status and duration to facilitate more tailored advice.
lets talk about where did you apply for this in country visa? What kind of Visa or admitted to stay did you have in your passport? How many days left did you have on your admitted to stay? without any decent information there is nothing to talk about.
if the school can meet all the requirements it could be possible to convert a Visa Exempt Entry or a Tourist Visa to a Non Immigrant visa. Pattaya is indeed one of the Immigration offices allowed to do this.
I have visa exempt and two weeks left in my stamp, thinking to make border run to Cambodia to activate another 30 days. School staff said that I will apply in Immigration Pattaya.
