In need of some info about visa application and insurance! I am from the US and I will be coming on a non immigrant b work visa. I must have a minimum coverage of USD $100,000. I have been looking into companies and decided to go with IMG insurance company for my first year but before I purchase the plan and send my visa app in for approval I was wondering if anyone had any experience with IMG or know if my visa will be rejected or approved because of this company?

The internet says IMG is an accepted provider but any personal experiences/ recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

ummm, from my knowledge a type B visa does not require insurance. Most legitimate companies you work for here enroll you in Thai social security, which includes health insurance. I have never heard of any insurance requirement for a type B visa

ok thanks. I’m work in the oil and gas industry in the states and was offered a job for a company (Northern Gulf Petroleum) in Thailand. I’ve never had to go through this process before so I have no idea.

the corporation should provide you with all the documentation you need for your visa application. Insurance is not one of them.

they do provide all documentation needed for visa and work permit. It is just a requirement for my line of work that I provide my own insurance.
