TLDR : Answer Summary
A lung X-ray is not required for Thai nationals traveling from the UK to Bangkok. The Thailand Pass system is the primary requirement for entry. Some individuals mistakenly believe the X-ray is needed, as it may be a requirement for work permits for certain nationalities, but this does not apply to all travelers.

The lung xray is for TB testing, it's required for a workpermit for SOME nationalities (like Vietnamese), and only for their work permit.

Absolutely not. If she’s Thai she just needs to complete the ThailandPass system to enter. I guess her friends are trying to wind her up.
