Is  hotel stay is mandatory requirement if apply from India for DTV in workation category? Can not we show to embassy to stay at some friend house while applying for DTV or booking a hotel or accommodation is a mandatory requirement? I have name and address of my friend where I can stay and official property document on his name too

If you don't have a hotel booking you can get a letter of invitation from your friend. Usually it needs to include their Thai ID and house book information

thanks for the response. I have the Thai ID and house ownership of the house of my friend. For letter of invitation, what format I need ? Will it just be a letter on plain paper that my friend is inviting me to stay there with him ?

AttractiveKangaroo007 yes but with the details all need to be in the invitation letter and all match up. So the house book must be where you will stay etc

I want to know one more thing if you can answer this ..

I visited Thailand 8-9 times before since 2016 as a tourist. This time I am applying DTV under workation category. I will be submitting my visa and fee next week. On this visit I will be staying for 10 days only as I have to come back to India and make some arrangements to go again on long stay. Will it be okay and this will not be seen as negative to my DTV application?

You may but do mention it explicitly in your CV and also enclose residence proof of friend ! Lady friend and Pattaya address though may call for scrutiny!

They might have introduced hotel stay mandatory for Indian citizens since many Indians were recorded sleeping on the beach in Pattaya🤭
