My wife and I have A O retirement visa, we each have the required money in a GBP joint foreign currency account in Krugsri bank.
A few of questions if you could help.
Is a foreign currency joint account ok, we have enough to cover both of us.
When we apply for extension to our visa will we need medical insurance
Is there an up to date list of things we need to have before we go to immigration
Thanks in advance
Brian

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster, Brian, queries about the acceptability of a GBP joint foreign currency account for the O-A retirement visa, the necessity of medical insurance when extending the visa, and seeks an updated list of requirements for the immigration application process. Responses indicate that the latest requirements can be obtained from the local immigration office and inquire about the expiration of the current permission to stay.

If you depart and reenter Thailand before the end of the visa expiration date you will get a second year added. The big question at this time...and still not known as fact...is whether you both will need to have the health medical insurance to be required effective October 31st...when you seek to reenter Thailand.
Therefore...we need to patiently await to see what happens in coming months.
The only up to date list with requirements is available at your local immigration office, benefit if you go to get this list is that you directly can ask if that office allows foreign currency joint accounts.
