Hi, I'm gonna extend by second time my O-A visa. For the first 2 years I got AXA Easy Care but it has a very high deductible what make it basicly useful only for visa purposes.
I want to get a better health insurance and AIA matches feels quite interesting.
However they don't have a plan designed for O-A as AXA has.
If I'm not wrong insurance requirements are 400k for inpatient and 40k for outpatient.
AIA offers 25M coverage but about outpatient it says "2k per visit up to 30 times a year". I wonder if this is accepted by immigration.
Anybody else with similar case?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around extending an O-A visa in Thailand and the health insurance requirements associated with it. The original poster seeks advice on using AIA Health, which offers substantial coverage but may not meet specific outpatient requirements. Key points include the need for insurance providing 3 million baht coverage for O-A extensions and opinions on alternative providers like Pacific Cross. Participants shared insights about mandatory insurance coverages, encouraged consulting with brokers, and clarified that new regulations have been established, impacting prior requirements.
I would suggest checking out Pacific Cross. I've been with them for years. Loads of priceworthy plans/covers. Their customer service for expats is really good.
A Non-OA based extension of stay requires 3 million baht insurance cover, no separate covid insurance required. The requirements changed a few years ago.
Easier and better to exit then start again on a Non-O as extending a Non-OA means you have to meet two requirements every year, the mandatory Thai insurance and the financial requirements such as 800k seasoned.
