How much time do I have to upload additional documents for my visa application in Thailand?

Dec 8, 2025
Hello, I have just applied in Hanoi. When immigration responds asking for additional documents, I am wondering how much time I have to upload them? Obviously, the quicker the better, but I will explain my situation further.

I'm asking specifically about the 3 months of bank statements. Currently, I am only able to show one month with the 500,000 THB requirement. However, if I wait two more days I will be able to get another month of bank statement with the 500,000 THB requirement on December 10th.

I'm assuming if I can show 2/3 months with the 500,000 requirement, it would be better than showing 1/3 months.

Thanks for the help 🙏 love this page

Edit: Yes 15,000 THB was a typo. I meant 500,000 THB (approx. $15,000)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the timeframe for submitting additional documentation after applying for a visa in Thailand. They specifically mention the requirement for three months of bank statements showing at least 500,000 THB. The user is concerned about whether submitting two months of statements is acceptable if they can obtain the second statement shortly after the request for documents. Comments from the community indicate that typically 14 days are given to upload additional documents before the application is canceled.

500,000 THB is the number you need. If you have only 15k… your application and fees are gone

Anonymous participant if you are applying under soft power category you will be rejected. If you are applying under workation, and have documentation showing this has been your sole source of income for more than just a few months, and you have other significant investments, and remote work history, then there is a good chance it will be approved.

Anonymous participant in that case, the 3 months bank statement is required, but each consulate seems to have different standards. Some require a continuous balance of 500k baht others only require a FINAL balance of 500k baht.

You are right, longer is better. You might be able to reach out to the consulate and ask

If they are asking for 3 months then you can expect they will want 3 months.
